Important Tips

• Do not knock out the center of the CD or DVD art. Leave the art to the center of the CD or DVD. Use cross hairs to indicate the center of the disc. The non-printable center of the CD or DVD will be masked out in production.

• PDFs are not recommended for artwork. Please submit the native files that created the PDF for the digital artwork as well as a PDF for us to compare the native files to.
• All digital artwork that is submitted via email or FTP must be compressed (zipped or stuffed).
• Include all fonts that are used within the job, or convert all text to outlines and curves.

File Specifications

• Resolution: All digital files must be 300 dpi for optimum print quality.
• The use of gradients (vignettes) in artwork is not recommended. Banding will typically occur between 60% and 70%.
• Due to the nature of silkscreen printing, artwork and screens with less than 15% dot fill may not print as desired and artwork greater than 90% dot fill may print as solid.
• Type sizes: 5pt minimum for one color type. 6pt minimum for type that is created from multiple colors. For reversed out type, 6pt minimum for one color. 8pt type is recommended for text that is reversed out of the 4-color process.

Proof/Color Match

• All 4-color process jobs (cmyk) require either a signed print waiver or a color match made from the actual film created from the artwork. If you are unable to provide a true color match sample, Logic General can create a color match from your artwork for you to review and approve.
• An electronic PDF will be created from your artwork for your approval. Please check the PDF carefully. The PDF shows the content and placement of your artwork and is not intended as a color match.

Graphics Applications

• All major graphics applications are supported. Adobe Illustrator is preferred.
• Files submitted as Word documents or PowerPoint presentations cannot be used.
